Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Pediatric Emergency Department (ED)
Location:Syracuse NY
Shift: Night Shift 12 Hours (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Pediatric Emergency Department (ED) care. The ideal candidate will have strong pediatric emergency experience advanced triage skills and the ability to work in a high-acuity fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Emergency Department setting
- Perform rapid triage and prioritize care based on patient acuity
- Assess and manage pediatric emergency conditions
- Administer medications IV therapies and emergency interventions
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation using EMR systems
- Ensure adherence to patient safety and infection control protocols
- Deliver care with minimal supervision in a high-pressure environment
Required Qualifications:
- Active New York RN License/Registration
- Minimum 2 years of recent Pediatric Emergency Department experience
- Formal Pediatric Triage Training (minimum 1 year experience)
- Experience working in acute care hospitals of similar or larger size
- Strong clinical communication and critical thinking skills
Required Certifications:
- BLS Certification
- TNCC or TCRN Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Centers
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
- Additional Adult ED experience (as a secondary skillset)
