Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a high-acuity Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in managing complex obstetric cases and the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Unit Details:
- Unit Size: 19 Beds
- Patient Ratio: 1:1 1:2
- Patient Acuity: High-risk obstetric patients
- EMR: EPIC
- Scrub Color: Galaxy Blue and/or White
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond to changes in condition
- Assist with labor delivery and emergency obstetric procedures
- Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Perform accurate and timely documentation using EMR
- Educate patients and families on care plans and procedures
- Float to other units or affiliated campuses as required
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN License (state-specific as applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Prior travel experience required
- Experience in high-acuity L&D settings
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
Required Certifications:
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (required)
Preferred Certifications:
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring
- EFM Certification
