Position: Chief Technical Officer (CTO)
Reportees: The CTO will oversee a multidisciplinary technology and digital team
Purpose of the Role
- The Chief Technical Officer (CTO) is responsible for driving the technology vision strategy and digital transformation initiatives of the Education Trust. The role will focus on building strong digital platforms strengthening technology infrastructure and enabling seamless digital and client journeys for the Trusts initiatives particularly in the areas of mental health and menstrual health. The CTO will ensure that technology systems data platforms and digital tools improve access engagement service delivery and operational efficiency across ABET programs.
Qualification
- Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or related discipline.
- MBA or MS in Tech related field can also be considered
Experience
- 18-20 years of progressive experience in technology leadership roles.
- Proven experience in managing enterprise IT Infrastructure digital platforms and cloud environments.
- Experience in building scalable digital products platforms or technology ecosystems.
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing cybersecurity system architecture and software development.
- Experience in digital health wellbeing platforms education technology or social impact initiatives will be an added advantage.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the overall technology roadmap aligned with the Trusts mission with strong focus on digital platforms supporting mental health education menstrual health and wellbeing initiatives.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives across ABET programs with emphasis on building scalable digital ecosystems platforms and services that improve reach accessibility and impact.
- Lead development and implementation of digital platforms data systems and technology tools that enable seamless digital and client journeys from awareness and engagement to service delivery and program impact.
- Ensure reliability scalability and security of IT infrastructure including cloud platforms cybersecurity frameworks and enterprise systems supporting organizational operations and digital platforms.
- Collaborate with program research and operational teams to design technology-enabled solutions that enhance program delivery digital engagement and user experience across mental health education and menstrual health initiatives.
- Manage technology vendors digital partners platform providers and monitor performance and reliability of IT systems and overall alignment with the mission of the organization.
- Prepare and manage annual technology budgets investments and digital innovation initiatives across the Trust and also lead and mentor technology team and build strong operational and digital capabilities.
- Strong focus on governance will be accountable to ensure transparency and accountability in tech spending ensure compliance with laws build strong data protection frameworks
- Oversee cybersecurity risk management and breach response and will be a custodian to implement ethical data usage policies.

- Deep understanding of IT systems cloud infrastructure cybersecurity and emerging technologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with leadership academic teams technology partners. Ability to translate complex technical concepts in to clear business outcomes.
- Demonstrate strong analytical thinking risk assessment and decision-making abilities to address technology related issues.
- Ability to build mentor and lead high performing IT teams. Encourage collaboration and co-creation across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Technical expertise - Strong understanding of Healthcare IT systems cloud platforms like AWS Azure cybersecurity frameworks and best practices Data analytics AIML applications and system integration and architecture.
