In this position you will be working on high-speed mixed-signal communication circuits using state-of-the art process technology as well as be involved in the design of high performance digital circuits interfacing to leading edge analog circuitry as part of an overall system.


Your responsibilities will include RTL coding simulation synthesis timing closure verification evaluation debugging of high-speed communication chips both at the circuit level and behavioral level.


As a design engineer you will prepare test methods and specifications assist in preparation of application information data sheets and demo boards. You will develop solutions to complex problems through assessment of various techniques and approaches. You will plan and organize work to ensure timely completion of many independent tasks with general instructions on routine tasks and with detailed instructions on new assignments.


This position involves routine communication with a highly talented team of analog and digital design engineers to solve problems and present information as well as active participation in work groups providing ideas and collaborative teamwork.

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated **Functional Validation Engineer** to join our elite connectivity team. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to work with state-of-the-art FPGA-based validation and emulation platforms while contributing to the verification of complex industry-leading SoC designs that power the next generation of connected devices.

Experience Required: 2-5 years of relevant industry experience

Key Responsibilities

Core Validation Activities:
Design develop and execute comprehensive functional validation test plans for next-generation connectivity wireless SoCs
Create and maintain sophisticated FPGA prototypes for critical pre-silicon validation activities
Architect and implement advanced test benches and validation environments on industry-leading platforms (Cadence Palladium/Veloce Synopsys ZeBu)
Perform complex design issue debugging using cutting-edge emulation and prototyping platforms

Collaboration & Innovation:
Partner with world-class design and verification teams to ensure comprehensive validation coverage
Develop intelligent automation scripts for streamlined test execution and advanced result analysis
Create detailed documentation of validation methodologies comprehensive test plans and actionable results
Provide technical expertise and support for critical post-silicon validation activities

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education & Experience:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or related technical field
3-6 years of progressive experience in functional validation verification or related fields

Technical Expertise:
FPGA Proficiency: Extensive experience with FPGA prototyping on industry-standard platforms (Xilinx/Altera)
Emulation Platforms: Hands-on expertise with Cadence Palladium or equivalent platforms (Veloce ZeBu)
Hardware Description Languages: Strong proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog
Programming & Scripting: Advanced skills in Python Perl TCL for automation and analysis
System Architecture: Deep understanding of SoC architectures and modern validation methodologies
Problem Solving: Exceptional debugging and analytical problem-solving capabilities

Advanced Technical Skills:
Communication Protocols: In-depth knowledge of industry-standard protocols (SPI I2S I2C CAN-FD UART)
Firmware Development: Proficiency in C/C for embedded firmware development
Version Control: Experience with modern version control systems (Git SVN)
Test & Measurement: Familiarity with advanced debug tools including logic analyzers protocol analyzers and waveform viewers
