TURN Community Services is currently seeking a full-time Southwest Employment Services Manager to join our nonprofit social services team in St George and surrounding communities.

Our Employment Services Manager earns a competitive wage of $23.50/hour plus a $600 sign on bonus. TURN COMMUNITY SERVICES: WHO WE ARE

TURN Community Services was founded in 1973 by a group of parents who wanted better services for their adult children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We provide resources to more than 850 individuals with developmental disabilities. With locations from Brigham City to St. George we offer a full range of services including day programs residential living art center programs summer camp and supported employment opportunities.

WHAT YOU DO AS AN EMPLOYMENT SERVICES MANAGER

The typical schedule for this nonprofit social services position is daytime hours Monday through Friday with some flexibility to work at other times to meet program and participant needs.

As an Employment Services Manager you are responsible for developing business and collaborative relationships in the community to promote employment for people with disabilities. You work closely with the Utah State Office of Rehabilitation the Division of Services for People with Disabilities as well as employment advocacy organizations. Working with the Director of Employment Services you ensure that contractual obligations are met and oversee the development and implementation of various employment plans for people with disabilities.

Some of your tasks include developing curriculum and services providing direct service to individuals managing program operations and supervising staff in program service delivery. Youre responsible for approaching businesses and community members to promote TURN Community Services employment and training opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Additionally you provide job skills training and soft skill instruction training to employers and co-workers in the community transportation training and assist individuals with disabilities to apply for services that may benefit them. ARE YOU A GOOD FIT FOR THIS EMPLOYMENT SERVICES MANAGER JOB

Requirements for this Employment Services Manager position include:

  • Experience in a human service field
  • One year or more of staff supervision in an employment setting consisting of A) Interviewing and hiring staff B) Monitoring and evaluation performance C) Staff training and development D) Staff discipline
  • 18 years of age
  • Reliable transportation a good driving record valid drivers license and updated insurance
  • Ability to transport individuals in your personal vehicle
  • Patience and effective stress management skills

Additional Qualifications:

  • Be ACRE certified within 6 months of hire
  • Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • A desire to work with individuals at various levels of functioning
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with parents employers government officials medical personnel community members and others
  • Clear written communication skills
  • Ability to use a computer to write business letters and reports and maintain and update numerical records
  • Ability to work with basic mathematical operations and summarized numerical data
