Operation and Maintenance Director (North Sharqiyah)
Job Summary
Role Purpose
Lead the Operations & Maintenance of water and wastewater services across ensuring safe reliable and high-quality service delivery across the full value chain.
Drive operational performance asset reliability and continuous improvement while managing a large organisation and optimising outsourced service delivery in close coordination with NAMA entities managing other clusters and cross-functional activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations: Oversee O&M of plants networks pumping and storage; ensure service continuity and compliance
- Ensure / facilitate the implementation of performance & transformation plans (NRW Energy etc. ) in collaboration with the technical & performance department.
- Asset Management: Implement maintenance strategies and support asset lifecycle optimisation
- Contractors: Manage outsourced activities ensuring performance quality of works and cost control; assess insourcing opportunities
- NRW: Contribute to NRW and efficiency programs with Technical Direction
- Leadership: Lead and develop a large organisation (>350 staff)
- Interfaces: Proactively coordinate with NAMA ) and central functions (technical planning customer etc.) and relevant external stakeholders.
- Governance: Ensure QHSE compliance risk management and emergency preparedness

Requirements
- Engineering degree
- 12 years in water/wastewater operations
- Experience managing large O&M activities contractors and teams
- Strong capability in complex organisational interfaces (multi-entity environments)
- Proven leadership in operational and performance-driven environments
