ABOUT THE JOB
We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Quality Engineer to support supplier quality management and continuous improvement initiatives in China. This role plays a critical part in ensuring supplier compliance strengthening vendor performance and maintaining high product quality standards across the supply chain.
Responsibilities and Duties
Conduct quality system audits for supplier onboarding and continuous supplier improvement initiatives (based on internal quality audit standards).
Evaluate and qualify new suppliers in coordination with the Purchasing team.
Monitor supplier performance metrics and implement corrective and preventive action plans.
Track follow up and close supplier-related quality issues to ensure long-term improvements.
Coordinate with development and engineering teams during new product development phases to ensure quality requirements are met.
Support product quality enhancement initiatives and root cause analysis processes.
Validate and approve First Order Inspection (FOI) reports for new products and components.
Drive supplier performance improvement through structured action plans and follow-up mechanisms.
Apply quality management tools to enhance process robustness and supplier reliability.
Contribute to strengthening internal quality processes and documentation standards.
Profile Requirements Bachelors degree in Engineering Quality Management Industrial Engineering or a related technical field. Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in quality engineering supplier quality management or supplier auditing within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Experience working directly with Chinese suppliers and manufacturing sites is strongly preferred. Fluency in both English and Mandarin is a mandatory requirement. Proficiency in French is a significant advantage. Strong coordination skills and ability to work cross-functionally in an international environment. Self-driven and capable of working independently without team management responsibilities.
