Who You Are: The Director of Physical Plant & Technology is a strategic and detail-oriented leader responsible for overseeing the districts technology infrastructure and physical plant operations. This role ensures reliable network systems telecommunications audio/visual technology and well-maintained facilities that support daily operations and long-term organizational goals. The Director leads technology and infrastructure projects manages enterprise technology services and help desk operations and supervises technology and facilities staff while fostering a collaborative and service-focused team culture. Working closely with the Senior Administrative Director to assess organizational needs implement innovative solutions and promote continuous improvement to ensure secure efficient and effective technology and facility environments.

What Youll Possess
Qualified Candidate Will:

• Possess a Masters degree or be willing to obtain one and have a minimum of five years of recent related experience in technology facilities or a related field.
• Have experience providing solutions in a customer-facing environment and managing enterprise help desk operations.
• Have experience with audio/visual equipment configuration and troubleshooting.
• Have a background in facilities management and infrastructure oversight.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds operate manual material handling equipment and bend stoop squat kneel push/pull and climb ladders up to 12 feet as needed for installations and maintenance.
• Demonstrate strong organizational and project planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills with a commitment to exceeding expectations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Be Self-motivated and proactive willing to seek out projects take initiative and perform additional duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement professional development and openness to feedback.

What Youll Do
Directors provide overall direction and supervision of a single department with ultimate accountability and oversight. They provide leadership by motivating others to implement change initiatives efficiently and effectively. Directors are highly engaged in all aspects of the organization with complete autonomy and cross-functional responsibilities. They manage multiple projects with self-directed deadline-driven accountability combining a present and future focus. With a moderate mix of transactional and transformational work Directors are high-functioning professionals consistently applying the use of discretion and independent judgment. Exempt

Essential Functions:

• Oversee physical plant and technology operations including network infrastructure telecommunications and facilities maintenance to ensure reliable and secure operations.
• Assist with or lead planning and implementation of technology and infrastructure projects managing timelines priorities and resources.
• Manage enterprise technology services including help desk operations user support network performance cybersecurity and distance-learning technologies.
• Supervise and develop technology and facilities staff providing coaching while fostering a collaborative accountable team culture and conducting Semi-annual performance reviews.
• Partner with leadership to assess needs communicate initiatives and support strategic planning and continuous improvement.
• Ensure work tickets are assigned and completed in a timely manner.
• Develop and monitor annual budgets for technology and physical plant.
• Serve as the primary liaison for service contractors such as janitorial landscape yard maintenance telecommunications and printers/copiers.
• Develop RFPs RFQs and bid packages per Tri County Techs policies.
• Regularly prepare and present information to the Board of Education regarding service agreements budget requests and project status. Must be able to articulate technical and operational matters and respond to inquiries to ensure members can make informed decisions.
• Ensure effective customer service communication and compliance with organizational policies safety standards and technology best practices.
• Other Job-Related Duties as Assigned by the Supervisor: The omission of duties does not exclude them from the position if similar related or a logical assignment to the other words youll be helping out on spontaneous projects and opportunities not listed above.

Terms of Employment: Twelve months; salary to be established by the Board of Education.

Evaluation: Performance evaluated by the Senior Administrative Director per Board policy.

Salary: $85000 annually
