We are seeking a Python Developer with a passion for AI to join our Data team reporting to the Data Science Tech Lead and working side by side with the product engineering marketing and business teams following a philosophy 100% Agile.
You and the rest of the Data Science team will have the ownership to develop test deploy and maintain AI Agents and other AI-powered solutions all to improve the experience for our customers sellers and internal stakeholders.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Interface with product teams & stakeholders to deliver AI initiatives understand and solve data needs and brainstorm and co-create new data products using generative AI.
- Create evaluate & improve AI agents and LLM applications as well as helping to maintain a diverse variety of data products including smart/optimization/personalization algorithms recommender systems and predictive models.
- Develop these from the initial idea to the implementation deployed in production with a mind toward the final consumer/stakeholder accuracy scalability high -availability and an iterative approach.
- Care for the standards and quality of your code and implementation.
- Support your teammates by participating in data science brainstorming discussions reviewing their code and results and working collaboratively especially during the POC/R&D phase.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Data Scientist in a customer-centric company preferably e-commerce transactional marketplace or e-health.
- Degree in Computer Science Data Science Engineering or similar.
- Professional experience developing monitoring & maintaining APIs.
- Advanced Python: FastAPI or other web frameworks; Connections to SQL &/or NoSQL databases; Deployed to production environments using Kubernetes or other cloud-native deployment solutions.
- Background skills: Datadog or other alarm/monitoring tools GIT & CI/CD
- Professional or personal experience developing GenAI solutions with:
LLMs propietary (ChatGPT ...) &/or open source (DeepSeek ...); LangChain/Graph LlamaIndex or other LLM frameworks; Langfuse Langsmith or other LLM observability tools; PGVector ChromaDB or other vector databases. - Past DevOps/Cloud experience is a plus.
- Past Data Science/Engineering/Analysis or ML Engineering/Ops experience is a plus.
Other Skills:
- Languages: Spanish and English (proficiency) German is a plus
- Experience in Agile methodologies
