About the Team:
The teams primary goal is to improve outcomes for autistic children and young people across the Local Authority by delivering high-quality support training and strategic input. The culture is collaborative inclusive and solution-focused with strong emphasis on partnership working between schools families and multi-agency professionals. It values continuous improvement accountability and neurodiversity-affirming practice.
There are strong opportunities for professional growth including leading nationally recognised AET/NEN training programmes as a Licensed Partner contributing to borough-wide strategy engaging in continuous professional development (CPD) managing teams and influencing policy and service development.
About the Role:
- Lead and manage the autism service including caseload and performance oversight
- Contribute to strategic planning and multi-agency processes (e.g. EHCPs tribunals)
- Provide expert advice assessments and statutory reports
- Deliver training and guidance to schools staff and parents
- Support inclusive practice through targeted interventions and strategies
- Coordinate service delivery referrals and data across the borough
- Ensure safeguarding compliance and effective stakeholder communication
- Promote neurodiversity-affirming practice and quality assurance across services
