About the role:
As a Junior Accountant based in our Barcelona office you will form part of a dynamic team of professionals. You will directly report to the Accounts Payable Manager of TME Spanish branch. TME Finance Departments mission is to cover the sign off of all financial and management accounts long-term business planning and the ongoing development of the financial systems and processes. We are seeking an efficient flexible and diligent Junior Accountant to support the accurate processing of financial data reconciliations and internal reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the A.P. general mailbox ensuring efficient handling of incoming queries and documentation.
Support monthly close activities including adjustments and provisions.
Assist in posting financial transactions to the general ledger.
Prepare monthly reconciliation for balance sheet accounts and bank accounts.
Processing and booking invoices into the expense management platform.
Assist in the preparation of internal and external audits.
Prepare bank remittances and payments to suppliers.
Assist with the documentation and filing of quarterly and annual filings.
Assist in preparing internal and external financial reports and variance analysis.
Help ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Maintain/update vendors data in the A.P. module.
Review expense reports.
Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and systems
Support with special projects as needed.
Skills And Competencies Required:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business Administration
Proficient in MS Office package especially Excel
Fluent in Spanish English (advanced level)
Experience using ERP Systems
A minimum of one year of experience as a Junior Accountant or similar role
