About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Lead Environment Management Systems theLeadEnvironmental Performanceinfluencesboth proactive and reactive environmental performance management across EVR. While supporting Sustainable Development andassetteams in responding to non-compliances incidents andinternal and externalrequirements the primary focus is on strengthening systems processes and data quality to prevent issues before they within the HSEC&HR framework this role translates standards and requirements into practical implementable processes that enable consistent performance acrossregional and asset teams. The roleisresponsiblefordeliveringaccurate decision-ready environmental performance insights ensuring data integrityidentifyingtrends and highlighting priority risk areas to inform leadership decisions.
This positionprovidesa unique enterprise-wide view of compliance and performance enabling the identification of systemic gaps development of best practices and sharing of lessons learned to continuously strengthen environmental performance across role also leads environmental incident investigations (5-Why and ICAM-based) supports field and office-based risk assessments and drives the development tracking and effectiveness of corrective actions.

In this role you will:

  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Environmental Management System (EMS) processes ensuring alignment with HSEC&HR standards

  • Support the implementationand ongoingmaintenanceof HSEC&HR standards by translating requirements into practical processes tools and tracking mechanisms that enable consistent execution

  • Identifysystemic gaps and recurring issues through data and performance reviews and work with teamstoimplement sustainable solutions

  • Influence and partner with asset teams to adopt practical processes that strengthenalignmenttracking accountability and environmental performance

  • Own QA/QC of environmental performance data across systems (e.g. Excel GSDSiteLine Power BI) ensuring accuracy consistency and integrity

  • Maintain and continuously improve environmental performance systems databases and dashboards

  • Deliver monthly quarterly and annual reporting with clear trend analysis and actionable insights to inform decisions

  • Lead and support environmental incident investigations including root cause analysis (5-Why ICAM progression)

  • Develop track and evaluate corrective actions and effectiveness of controls

  • Facilitate multidisciplinary problem-solving sessions to address compliance risks and performance gaps

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in Engineering Environmental Science or a related field

  • Minimum five years experience in environmental performanceorcompliance within a mining or industrial setting

  • Strong analytical capability with advancedproficiencyin Excel and Power BI including data management validation and visualization

  • Demonstrated ability to ensure data accuracyidentifytrends and translate data into clear actionable insights

  • Experience supporting or leading incident investigations (e.g. 5-Why; ICAM training or willingness to obtain is an asset)

  • Solid understanding of federal and provincial environmental regulations and compliance requirements

  • Proven ability to simplify complex processes and implement practical scalable solutions

  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent

$106000 - $131000 a year
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidates relevant experience skills and competencies and considers internal equity.
