Within Southern NH Medical Center we understand the important connection between physical mental and emotional well-being and have the resources to support our community through inpatient and outpatient health services from emergency care to intensive outpatient addition to supporting the community as a Level III Trauma Center the ED has taken proactive steps to provide safe care to our psychiatric population through the implementation of a 6-bed secured intradepartmental unit.
About the Job:
As a member of the Patient Care Services team the Inpatient Psych Registered Nurse cares for patients ranging from all ages with acute and chronic psychiatric disorders. The Psych RN specializes in assessing intervening and stabilizing patients in situations that require critical clinical decision-making skills.
What Youll Do:
- Assess and implements priority-based nursing care and establish goals to meet the patients needs.
- Integrate patient values best practice and evidence into patient care.
- Engage patients and/or families in the care delivery.
- Function competently within own scope of practice.
- Utilize a communication style/practice to meet the needs of the team and/or the situation.
- Delegate care activities to patient care team.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to provide the patient with comprehensive care.
Who You Are:
- Current NH licensure as a Registered Nurse
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (ADN / BSN required)
- 1-2 years experience in mental health preferred

Work Shift:
