Job Summary
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat patients
- Identify and Implement selected components of care and interventions in a technically competent manner
- Instruct and counsel patients effectively in exercises
- Identify patients needs and exhibit compassion caring and empathy to individual differences
- Recommend options courses of action or modifications in selected
- treatments ensuring patients progress safety and comfort
- Apply the latest research related to restoring function reducing symptoms frequency and preventing injury
- Complete documentation within 24 hours to support the delivery of therapy services
- Perform selected data collection and obtain accurate information
- Measure performance and report on patients medical record
- Participate in patient status judgments
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards
- Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge
Skills
- Proven working experience as therapist Excellent knowledge of physiology best practices and standards Hands on experience with therapeutic exercises functional training and physical modalities and/or self care. Ability to communicate and instruct effectively Health care administration and documentation skills License to practice or relevant certification in TEXAS Minimum Skills Knowledge and Ability Requirements:
- Must be highly organized and self-directed Time management Requires the ability to manage collaboratively with all organizational levels Ability to work in a small team environment Excellent analytical and organizational skills Must have proficiency in MS Word Excel and PowerPoint PEDS experience preferred Work Environment:
- Field Environment: in the home facility or business; talking; various noise levels; interactions with employees and clients; sitting and standing for long periods of time; bending and stooping required; lifting up to 50 lbs.
