You will work a 12hour shift pattern including days nights and weekends on a set rota.
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 38 hours per week
Salary: Competitive salary plus benefits 400 per month car allowance and 15% shift allowance
About the role
This is a critical role within our 24/7 Operational Control team across Water and Wastewater. You will help ensure the safe supply of water and effective wastewater treatment. The role supports our commitment to customers communities and the environment. Reporting to the Head of Operational Waste Control you will play a key role in incident management. You will need to remain calm resilient and adaptable during operational challenges.
What you will be responsible for:
- Managing operational risk across water and wastewater services on a 24/7 basis.
- Providing clear oversight of incidents to protect customers and the environment.
- Identifying risks early and ensuring mitigation plans are implemented effectively.
- Monitoring performance and escalating operational risks at the right time.
- Working closely with field teams and senior leaders during live operational events.
- Advising challenging and directing stakeholders to meet operational objectives.

- Working a 12hour rotating shift pattern including nights and weekends- Sample shift pattern will be shared before interview
What youll bring to the role:
Essential
Experience working in an operational or incident management environment.
Ability to remain effective under pressure and make informed decisions.
Strong communication skills with confidence working at all levels.
Experience managing risk and responding to live operational issues.
Desirable
NEBOSH or Health and Safety qualification or willingness to work towards one.
Experience within utilities infrastructure or a regulated environment.
