You are an autonomous software engineer who thrives in ambiguity and can make sound architectural decisions. You have strong skills in distributed systems and full-stack development are essential along with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
You will:
- Design and implement scalable systems for real-time processing and multimodal AI integration
- Build core components of a horizontal capability that powers visual understanding across Amazons device ecosystem
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end customer experiences
- Solve complex technical challenges in distributed systems real-time processing and API design
A day in the life
Youll work on high-impact projects that directly shape upcoming product launches. This role offers the opportunity to tackle Amazons hardest technical problems while building technology that will fundamentally change how people interact with AI assistants. Youll collaborate with talented engineers ML scientists and product teams in a fast-paced innovative environment.
- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 3 years of designing and developing large-scale multi-tiered multi-threaded embedded or distributed software applications tools systems and services using: C# C Java or Perl experience
- Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field
- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company Amazons package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
