About the Role:

Join Victoria Universitys Digital Transformation & Quality Learning portfolio and Digital Learning Environments team as a Manager Learning Systems (VU TAFE). In this role you will design develop and implement innovative digitally supported learning solutions for internal and external clients. The position will provide pedagogical and technical advice and assistance with regards to determining appropriate digitally supported learning directions.

Position Key Duties

Some of the duties you are expected to perform are:

  • Manage a small and specialised unit where significant innovation initiative and judgement are required.

  • Manage development and implementation of digitally supported learning programs requiring a high degree of knowledge and sensitivity.

  • Provide leadership and direction for the VU TAFE learning and teaching design practice to develop innovative and evidence-based learning environments that are strategically aligned with best practice VU design principles and learning and teaching policies procedures and quality frameworks.

  • Develop and lead an efficient process for supporting course enhancements in digital and blended learning initiatives that align with VU TAFE and University priorities.

  • Manage and coordinate people programs projects systems and processes.

  • Responsible for continuous improvement of policies procedures and processes in the specific area of operation and more broadly.

Salary:HEP 8 classification $74.29/hour superannuation
Employment Type: Casual
Hours: 36.75 hours per week approximately (backfill position)
Location:Footscray Park campus

About You:

  • Advanced knowledge and experience in supporting and administering a Learning Management System and other educational technologies.

  • A dual-sector perspective and understanding of VET/TAFE and Higher Education.

  • Knowledge and understanding of operations governance and decision-making processes including quality assurance policies and procedures and other relevant legislative requirements relating to VET programs.

  • Possess a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122/ TAE40116)

  • Strong management administrative project and coordination skills
