Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Outpatient Services
Location: Atlanta Georgia 30342
Shift: Day Shift (8:30 AM 5:00 PM)
Schedule: 5 days/week (40 hours)
Duration: 12 weeks
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join an outpatient gynecologic oncology clinic within a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills outpatient or acute care experience and the ability to provide compassionate high-quality care in a fast-paced ambulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an outpatient oncology setting.
- Assist physicians with examinations procedures and treatments.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
- Educate patients on treatment plans medications and follow-up care.
- Perform patient assessments and document findings accurately.
- Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Prepare patients for procedures and ensure comfort and safety.
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems.
- Manage patient flow to support efficient clinic operations.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience within the specialty.
- Acute care experience required (Med-Surg RN experience accepted).
- Strong patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in an outpatient clinical setting.
- Reliable and adaptable to schedule changes.
- Oncology or outpatient experience strongly preferred.
Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
