Job Description
Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform semiroutine machine setups and operate assigned production equipment in accordance with established procedures and work instructions.
- Execute production tasks using process sheets drawings and written or verbal instructions from supervision.
- Operate computer consoles and production software associated with manufacturing equipment.
- Use basic measuring instruments and inspection tools to verify product quality and conformance.
- Monitor equipment performance and report issues defects or unsafe conditions promptly.
- Follow standard operating procedures quality requirements and safety guidelines at all times.
- Support continuous improvement Lean Manufacturing and efficiency initiatives as directed.
- Comply with all import/export and ITAR requirements consulting with appropriate personnel as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma GED or equivalent knowledge gained through formal education or vocational training.
- Typically requires 04 years of manufacturing or machine operation experience.
- Ability to read drawings use measuring tools and perform basic shop math.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules operating instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
- Ability to add subtract multiply and divide using whole numbers fractions and decimals.
- Working knowledge of MS Outlook Excel and Word.
Other Skills and Abilities
- Basic knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100 standards.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma or Kaizen principles.
- Familiarity with ERP or production software systems is a plus.
Other Qualifications (Site/Program Specific)
- U.S. Person status required for access to ITARcontrolled technical data.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearance if applicable.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally if required by program needs.
