How youll contribute:
A Patient Care Assistant who excels in this role:
Performs basic patient care as delegated and supervised by an RN including monitoring vital signs possible blood glucose measurements and accurate intake/output recording.
Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing grooming eating toileting ambulation).
Observes and promptly reports abnormal physical mental or emotional findings to nursing staff.
Keeps patient rooms and common areas clean safe and appropriately stocked.
Manages the tech desk; supports nursing/physician staff and department throughput.
Documents care and activities per unit standards.
Participates in performance improvement and required education; performs other duties as assigned.

Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic Clinical Insurance Financial Complete Medical Record.
Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure: Occupational exposure may be present for all employees in this role.
Physical Requirements (typical): Frequent standing walking reaching keyboard entry repetitive hand/arm and foot/leg movements kneeling and lifting/moving patients; occasional sitting and squatting; rare running or climbing. Near/far vision and depth perception frequent/constant; color distinction frequent.
Environmental Exposures: Occasional exposure to biohazardous waste communicable diseases/pathogens dust gases/vapors/fumes hazardous chemicals/medications; latex exposure frequent.

License: SRNA or EMT preferred.
Certifications: BCLS required; Handle with Care preferred.
