Job Summary

Warehouse / Trade Counter Assistant

Location: Penrith Cumbria
Type: Permanent Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am 5:00pm
Salary: Dependent on Experience

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse / Trade Counter Assistantto join a well-established and busy rural retail business based near Penrith. This is a varied hands-on role combining customer service with warehouse duties supporting the day-to-day running of a busy store.

This opportunity would suit someone with an interest in agriculture or rural life who enjoys working with customers building relationships and being part of a close-knit team.

Key responsibilities
Serving customers and providing advice on a range of products
Building strong relationships with customers and the local community
Supporting the day-to-day running of the store
Handling and moving stock within the warehouse and shop floor
Assisting with deliveries stock control and replenishment
Ensuring the store is well presented and organised
Supporting with a wide range of products including agricultural supplies and equipment
Maintaining a clean safe and efficient working environment

About you
Reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Passionate about agriculture or the rural sector
Self-motivated with a positive and proactive attitude
Confident communicating with customers and building relationships
Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
