Our Injury Management team is currently seeking to appoint a Team leader Health & Injury Management. This is an opportunity to lead a specialist injury management function with a strong focus on complex case management and positive return to work outcomes.
About the role
As Team Leader Health and Injury Management you will guide a small team of Injury Management Advisors while remaining closely involved in complex or high-risk matters. You will work in partnership with managers insurers health providers and internal stakeholders to support early intervention recovery at work and safe sustainable outcomes for employees.
The role offers a balance of people leadership hands on complex case management and advisory work operating in a trusted space where sound judgement discretion and collaboration are key.
About you
You are a confident injury management professional who enjoys leading people and navigating complex situations. You are comfortable working across workers compensation insurance and injury management matters and know how to bring stakeholders together to achieve practical outcomes.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Strong experience managing complex injury management and workers compensation cases
- Proven capability in leading and supporting a small professional team
- Confidence working with health providers insurers managers and employees
- A practical solutions focused approach to return to work and recovery at work
- High levels of professionalism discretion and integrity when handling sensitive matters
- The ability to influence coach and build capability across the organisation
Essential Requirements
- Tertiary qualification as an allied health professional or in a relevant health discipline such as behavioural and social sciences physiotherapy occupational therapy rehabilitation counselling exercise physiology is preferred and extensive experience in injury management and workers compensation.
- Extensive knowledge of NSW workers compensation legislation and experience in injury management and workers compensation.
