Manages performance and career development of Global Trial Associates (GTAs) and may manage Global Trial Leads (GTLs)
Member of the Department Leadership Team focused on development accountability and success of team members.
Leads or contributes to department process and continuous improvement activities.
Contributes to cross organizational processes and initiatives.
Leverages interpersonal and influencing skills to foster partnerships across global and/or multidisciplinary teams.
Duties/Responsibilities
Responsibilities involve a combination of execution and oversight dependent on the sourcing model to ensure deliverables and may include but are not limited to the following:
Manager for a team of Global Trial Associates
Manages direct reports work assignments.
Contributes to resource allocation decisions taking into account strategy to ensure best fits for work assignment.
Partners with direct reports to create and monitor career development plans.
Manages performance including check-ins and year-end activities.
Identifies individual development needs and coach for success.
Contributes to compensation decisions.
Member of Department Leadership Team
Collaborates with Line Manager colleagues to develop and enhance department processes.
Shares Lessons Learned relative to people management or process.
Leads or contributes to Continuous Improvement efforts within the greater Clinical Operations or BMS organization.
Reporting Relationship This role will report into the Global Trial Management head and will manage a team of Global Trial Associates crossing all therapeutic areas
Education/Experience/ Licenses/Certifications:
BA/BS or equivalent degree in relevant discipline
Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience or equivalent needed
Experience in line management (talent identification development coaching performance management) and resource allocation preferred.
Lean Six sigma certification (Green Black belt Certified) is a plus
Demonstrated leadership skills.

This position may require minimal travel up to 5%.
Based on your function department or individual position you will have the opportunity to discuss with your Manager the option to work remotely up to 50% of the time over a two-week period with the flexibility to choose the days that align with your collaboration needs.

Compensation Overview:
The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay takes into account characteristics of the job such as required skills where the job is performed the employees work schedule job-related knowledge and experience. The final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience and in accordance with pay equity principles and applicable employment laws.

On-site Protocol
BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential site-by-design field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:
Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility.
