Job Description
As a Security Officer Site Rounds in Hattiesburg MS you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees visitors and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a technology and communications location.
- Respond to incidents alarms and/or critical situations in a calm professional problem-solving manner documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office spaces common areas parking areas and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing foot traffic verifying credentials when required and reporting suspicious behavior or policy violations.
- Support daily operations by completing assigned reports maintaining a visible presence throughout the location and communicating observed maintenance operational and/or security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
