The Network Lifecycle Management (NLM) organization is responsible for scaling and maintaining Amazons global network capacity. Within NLM the Cabling Services team owns the planning ordering and fulfillment of network cabling projects. This includes building software to ensure predictable on-time delivery of materials to deliver network capacity.
Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer on this team you will take ownership of substantial parts of complex large-scale problems with real impact on Amazons infrastructure. A key focus of your work will be developing data center digital twin automation to support automated fiber infrastructure design that optimizes material orders and resource allocation at scale. You will have the autonomy to define your own direction shape technical solutions and drive meaningful outcomes across the cabling lifecycle.

- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1 years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1 years of designing and developing large-scale multi-tiered multi-threaded embedded or distributed software applications tools systems and services using: C# C Java or Perl experience
- 1 years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
