Seeking a Diesel Technician Apprentice with strong mechanical aptitude a proactive learning mindset and the ability to tackle handson challenges in a dynamic maintenance environment.

Responsibilities

  • Routinely performs repairs and preventative maintenance tasks on our fleet of motorcoaches bag trucks and light duty vehicles under the supervision of a journeyman Technician.

  • 144 hours of LMS MCI Training and other online learning opportunities to be completed every year from year 1 to 4.

  • Complete 2000 hours annually of on-the-job learning.

  • Document all OJT hours daily on provided timecard to meet the federal requirements for record keeping.

  • Obtain 608/609 HVAC certification at minimum 609 MVAC and CDL.

  • Facility Maintenance clean repair and maintain facility grounds work areas company tools and equipment.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Valid drivers license Commercial Drivers License or Ability to Obtain Class B w/ Air Brake Restriction Removed & Passenger Endorsement.

  • Willingness to learn the trade.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Holland America Line/Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g. H-1B status).

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Performs preventive maintenance inspections diagnosis & repairs vehicles based on company guidelines.

  • Understanding of workplace policies and procedures

  • Familiarity with team collaboration tools and techniques.

  • Strong listening and communication skills

  • Ability to maintain reliable and consistent attendance

  • Capacity to be punctual

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and work as part of a team

  • Demonstrated professionalism in all interactions and tasks.
