Job Summary
Sofina Foods in Hanover Ontario is currently hiring an experienced Power Engineer to join our Engineering team. Reporting to the Chief Engineer the successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of refrigeration boiler and utility systems while supporting daily plant Purpose and DutiesOperate and monitor ammonia refrigeration systems boilers and related auxiliary equipment Perform routine rounds and operational checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance Monitor and manage water distribution systems Respond to operations requests for engineering and utility services Investigate alarms and system alerts and take appropriate corrective action Troubleshoot equipment issues and address deficiencies in a timely manner Complete documentation and log entries related to operations and maintenance Follow all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures Work collaboratively with engineering and operations teams to support plant efficiencyQualifications4th Class Engineer or 3rd Class Engineer with Refrigeration B to work 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights) Physically capable of meeting job demands Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills Good working knowledge of EHS practices Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailABOUT USSofina Foods is committed to Employment Equity and maintaining a diverse workforce.
