Job Summary:

The Attorney Generals Office Criminal Division/Health Care Fraud and Abuse Section is seeking an unpaid paralegal intern. The Health Care Fraud and Abuse Section investigates and prosecutes health care fraud crimes that impact the States Medicaid program known as AHCCCS.

Job Duties:

Under the supervision of the Assistant Attorney General the paralegal intern will prepare a variety of correspondence pleadings motions petitions briefs and legal forms. The intern will assist with preparation of discovery documents and submit documentation and pleadings with the court. The intern will be knowledgeable in Adobe as well as Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word and Excel. Internship positions at the Attorney Generals Office (AGO) are designed to give participants exposure to the AGO work environment including opportunities to observe and assist in legal proceedings.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

This internship is offered to students currently enrolled in a Paralegal Studies Program with a minimum cumulative G.P.A of 2.75.

This is an unpaid internship.

Hours: 10-20 hours per week. Hours will fall between 8:00AM-5:00PM Monday through Friday depending on the interns availability

Internship Period: Summer 2026 possibly through Fall 2026
