Your role and responsibilities


Engagement and communications

  • Helping us keep staff informed involved and listened to.
  • Writing clear plainEnglish updates briefings FAQs and presentations.
  • Supporting engagement around change working closely with transformation and programme teams.
  • Making sure our messages are inclusive honest and easy to understand.


Information governance

  • Giving practical advice to managers and teams on information governance and data protection.
    Supporting ASCs information governance arrangements helping prepare papers follow up actions and provide assurance.
  • Spotting themes and risks and helping us improve how we manage information.
  • Supporting awareness through guidance briefings and learning activity.

Working with others

  • Building strong working relationships with leaders managers and corporate colleagues.
  • Acting as a trusted point of contact for engagement and information governance queries.
  • Helping improve how we work by sharing learning and suggesting better ways of doing things.

Line management

  • Line managing staff within the information governance function.
  • Supporting people to feel confident supported and able to do their best work


What were looking for
You will be someone who communicates well uses good judgement and is comfortable working with a wide range of people. You dont need to know everything on day one but you do need to be curious thoughtful and inquisitive enough to ask questions and offer advice.

You will need

  • Experience in engagement communications or business support roles.
  • A good understanding of information governance and data protection or the ability to build this quickly.
  • A track record of turning complex or sensitive information into clear plainEnglish messages.
  • Experience of working across teams and building positive working relationships.
  • The confidence to give advice and challenge in a constructive supportive way.
  • Experience of line managing or supporting others to develop.

The team

Youll be part of the ASC Business Management function a small and trusted team that supports the directorate behind the scenes. We work closely with senior leaders managers and corporate teams often stepping in where work is complex sensitive or moving at pace to provide clarity calm and structure when its needed most.
