About the Project
ACCIONA delivers complex infrastructure across Australia across civil water and rail sectors. Our Power Systems team supports a broad range of transmission and substation projects that enable the energy transition. We deliver constructable safe and technically robust solutions within an EPC framework. Our work focuses on long-term performance and practical delivery. Every project is underpinned by innovation and collaboration.
About the Opportunity
You lead HV primary design for substations and transmission assets. You guide multidisciplinary teams and work closely with secondary civil and structural engineers. You produce accurate layouts SLDs and reports resolve design issues and embed Safety in Design. You mentor engineers and lift technical capability while ensuring compliance with Australian standards.

- Guide and mentor engineers
Required Skills and Competencies
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 7 years HV primary design for transmission networks (220kV)
- Chartered Status (including RPEV RPEQ NER & CPEng) or the ability to achieve within 6 months of commencing is desirable
- Strong expertise in HV equipment selection substation layouts bus arrangements earthing insulation coordination and primary plant integration
- Tier 1/Tier 2 EPC or TNSP experience highly regarded
- Solid understanding of HV transmission standards TNSP/utility requirements and relevant design codes.
- Proficient in producing clear primary drawings including GA layouts SLDs schematics equipment schedules and technical reports.
- Experienced collaborating with secondary civil structural and communications teams as well as utilities and contractors.
- Skilled in reviewing designs for constructability operability maintainability and safety compliance.
- Active mentor committed to quality knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
