A well-regarded secondary school in Southwark rated Good by Ofsted is seeking a dedicated Office Administrator to join its friendly and supportive team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of school operations.

The Role
The successful candidate will:
Provide comprehensive administrative support across the school office
Manage incoming calls emails and general enquiries in a professional manner
Maintain accurate records using school systems (e.g. SIMS or equivalent)
Support key administrative functions such as attendance admissions and data management
Assist with organising meetings events and internal communications
Handle post deliveries filing and document control
Support safeguarding procedures including visitor management and record keeping
Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to ensure efficient operations
Provide administrative support to senior leaders and departments
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a candidate who:
Has previous experience in an administrative role (school experience desirable)
Demonstrates strong organisational and time management skills
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Is confident using IT systems such as Microsoft Office and databases (e.g. SIMS)
Can prioritise tasks and manage a varied workload effectively
Maintains confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Works well both independently and as part of a team
