Reporting directly to the Group Marketing Director the Head of Marketing is responsible for executing the go-to-market strategy for the mortgages and short-term lending divisions within West One. Leading a team of two Marketing Executives the role ensures marketing plans are fully aligned with commercial objectives and business priorities delivering activities that drive lead generation broker and direct borrower engagement and business growth. The role has a particular focus on term mortgages product marketing and targeted multi-channel campaigns.
The Head of Marketing oversees all marketing activity from planning through to execution measurement and optimisation. Responsibilities include budget management ROI reporting and ensuring consistent brand positioning across all touchpoints. Working closely with senior stakeholders the role also leads content creation events and strategic initiatives to strengthen market presence and support overall business performance
Key Accountabilities
Work with the GMD to develop West One GTM strategy. Develop own and execute a supporting marketing plan in line with the strategy that aligns to the business priorities objectives and values.
Develop and execute clear audience distribution plans for lead generation and lead nurture. This includes management of network and club marketing activity.
Product Marketing Promote technical and relevant product excellence through marketing communications. Align product marketing to audience distribution plans for effective and impactful marketing. Work closely with business units to create new exciting marketing content for brand and core audience to promote all brands.
Campaign Management Manage the planning procedure implementation tracking and measurement of marketing campaigns for lead generation branding building and product marketing.
Experiment with a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels across the marketing mix not limited to content creation content curation pay per click campaigns event management PR social media lead generation campaigns copywriting of cases studies and blogs and email marketing strategies.
Accountable for overall deployment of brand strategy - to ensure the brand messaging positioning and tone of voice is correctly and consistently positioned and applied across all internal and external touch points.
Monthly ROI reporting - Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications & campaigns
Budget Management Manage brand marketing budget across campaigns and activities to report on ROI.
Event Management of brand related tradeshows and external events
Skills & Competencies
Demonstrable experience of using HubSpot for email marketing automated campaigns CMS management and reporting
Campaign management and reporting
Strong leadership ability
Able to work to tight deadlines and fact paced mortgages environment
Excellent copy and proof-reading skills
Excellent attention to detail
Knowledge & Qualifications
Must have proven experience within specialist finance industry and products to be able to create subject relevant marketing campaigns and material.
Minimum 5 years marketing experience
Minimum 3 years management experience
