Job Summary
We are looking for a dependable Landscaping & Grounds Maintenance Technician to support citywide groundskeeping and general maintenance tasks. This role involves working at various locations performing mowing trimming cleanup and other assigned duties such as painting replacing signs and basic facility upkeep. The ideal candidate is hardworking flexible and comfortable working outdoors in all conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mowing trimming edging and general landscape maintenance across multiple city locations.
- Clean up grounds including debris removal raking sweeping and trash collection.
- Support miscellaneous maintenance tasks such as:
- Painting fences curbs signs or facilities
- Replacing and installing signage
- Minor repairs or upkeep as assigned
- Operate basic landscaping equipment (mowers trimmers blowers etc.) safely and properly.
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as leaf removal snow clearing prep or irrigation checks (if applicable).
- Follow safety protocols and maintain tools equipment and work areas.
- Work collaboratively with team members and respond to supervisor requests promptly.
Qualifications
- Experience in landscaping groundskeeping or general labor preferred but not required.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift 4050 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Reliable punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must wear steel-toed boots (required for safety).
Preferred Skills
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment.
- Experience with painting or minor maintenance tasks.
- Valid drivers license is a plus (depending on city requirements).
Work Environment
- Outdoor work at multiple city properties and job sites.
- Exposure to weather noise and physical labor.
- Use of PPE including steel-toed boots gloves safety glasses etc.
