Mandate Context
- As part of a major structural project aimed at enhancing financial performance the Transformation team is seeking external expertise to accelerate the execution of high-value initiatives.
- As a Senior Consultant Finance Transformation you will serve as a subject matter expert supporting the execution structuring and implementation of solutions designed to evolve practices processes tools and the operational model for financial performance.
- You will work in close collaboration with Transformation Managers Finance teams and IT and Data partners within a complex and evolving organizational environment.
Role and Responsibilities
- Within the scope of defined mandates you will be called upon to:
- Act as an expert advisor to the teams responsible for the transformation project providing support for the planning execution and monitoring of targeted deliverables
- Conduct in-depth analyses of issues related to financial performance (processes governance tools data) formulate structured diagnostics and propose pragmatic recommendations
- Contribute to defining future states (targets) identifying gaps and prioritizing initiatives based on key challenges expected benefits and operational constraints
- Participate in the design and implementation of business solutions taking into account interdependencies organizational impacts and technological capabilities
- Produce clear structured and actionable deliverables (analyses executive presentations recommendations implementation plans documentation)
- Support sound governance of the work specifically by ensuring the consistency of deliverables managing priorities and upholding objectives regarding scope quality and value
- Contribute to knowledge transfer to internal teams and foster the adoption of implemented solutions
- Identify opportunities for optimization simplification and continuous improvement within financial performance practices and processes
Requirements
Desired Profile
- Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline (finance administration accounting information technology or equivalent)
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience including significant experience in consulting engagements organizational transformation or process improvement
- Solid experience working in complex or large-scale organizational environments
- Experience in project delivery or managing structured mandates (an asset)
- Knowledge of financial performance financial data management analytical environments and/or financial tools (e.g. Oracle suite) (an asset)
- Knowledge of the Desjardins Movement or ...in a comparable environment (an asset)
