Job Summary
We are seeking a Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) Functional Consultantwith strong hands-on experience in finance and accounting operations. This role is focused on business-side usage of GP supporting day-to-day financial activities across core modules and driving process efficiency.
The ideal candidate will act as a key finance user ensuring accurate transaction processing supporting financial close cycles and collaborating with stakeholders to optimize accounting workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day financial operations in Microsoft Dynamics GP including Accounts Payable (AP) Accounts Receivable (AR) and General Ledger (GL)
- Process invoices payments journal entries and account reconciliations with high accuracy
- Support month-end and year-end close activities including reporting and audit preparation
- Validate financial transactions and ensure data accuracy within the system
- Collaborate with internal finance teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and controls
- Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience using Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP)as a functional/end user
- Solid functional expertise in AP AR and GL modules
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Experience managing day-to-day accounting operationsin a business environment
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with GP Inventory module
- Exposure to contract management or revenue processes
- Experience working in mid-to-large enterprise environments
