Job Summary
Overview
We are looking for a professional and responsible Security Officer to patrol and monitor the property and act as a deterrent to crime and oversee resident safety.
As a Security Officer you will respond to all residents emergency calls and observe and report any unusual activities that take place throughout the property. You will enforce the policies and rules set forth by Christian Care and protect the rights of all residents within the framework of Federal State and Local laws.
Additionally this is a hybrid role which involves both security and offers a great opportunity to the experienced Security Officer who enjoys manual tasks. The maintenance arm of your role will require you to assist with general on-site repairs such as painting moving furniture and unblocking drains as directed by your manager while working as an enthusiastic team player to complete tasks and meet needs as they become apparent.
Responsibilities
- Monitor alarms and closed-circuit television cameras.
- Perform data entry.
- Answer phones and direct calls accordingly.
- Contact emergency services as needed.
- Skills required include great observation good judgment common sense and excellent communication skills-both verbal and written.
- Assist residents and staff when situations arise.
- Assist with general on-site repairs such as painting moving furniture and unblocking drains.
Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of two years experience as a Security Guard preferred.
- General on-site repairs such as painting moving furniture unblocking drains and as directed by your manager.
- Senior lift assist training required.
- Valid AZ drivers license required.
- Fingerprint Clearance card required.
- Guard Card required.
- Skills required include great observation good judgment common sense and excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
- Must have some experience or training in computer operation.
