Security Technician

Job Summary
We are currently seeking a skilled Security Technician to join our team and support Dallas data center projects. This role focuses on installing CCTV security cameras. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in commercial environments and a strong understanding of low-voltage installation practices. This project has already kicked off and the work is immediate.
Responsibilities:

Install terminate and test low voltage cabling (Cat5e Cat6 coax etc.) for CCTV and access control systems

Mount configure and aim CCTV cameras; verify video feed and ensure full system functionality

Run cable in various commercial environments including ceilings walls and conduit

Install and secure door hardware and access control components such as strikes maglocks readers and request-to-exit devices

Read and follow blueprints scope of work documents and wiring diagrams

Maintain a clean and organized job site and ensure compliance with safety protocols
-
Work independently or as part of a team to meet project timelines and customer expectations

Communicate effectively with supervisors clients and other trades on-site
Qualifications:
-
2 years of experience in low voltage installations (CCTV cable drops access control)

Familiarity with tools such as punch-down tools cable testers fish tape drills and hand tools
-
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints

Experience with commercial installation environments

Comfortable working on lifts ladders and in ceiling spaces

Reliable transportation to job sites on the west side of Phoenix

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening if required by the project
Preferred:

OSHA 10 certification

Experience with major CCTV systems (e.g. Avigilon Axis Hanwha etc.)

Experience with access control systems (e.g. Softwarehouse Lenel Genetec)
Compensation:
-
$25- $35/hr depending on experience
