A reputable company is seeking a motivated Diesel Mechanic Apprentice to join their team in Cape Town. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate currently working towards their Diesel Mechanic trade qualification to gain hands-on experience and grow into a fully qualified Technician role. The ideal candidate should be eager to learn technically inclined and committed to building a long-term career in the mechanical field.
Responsibilities:
Assist qualified technicians with maintenance servicing and repairs on diesel vehicles and equipment.
Support fault-finding and diagnostic activities under supervision.
Perform basic mechanical tasks and component replacements as directed.
Maintain tools equipment and workshop areas in a safe and organised condition.
Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
Accurately complete basic job cards and maintenance records.
Participate in on-the-job training and development programmes.
Assist with general workshop duties as required.
Requirements:
Matric certificate (essential).
Currently enrolled in or working towards a Diesel Mechanic trade certificate (preferred).
Basic mechanical knowledge and strong interest in diesel mechanics.
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
Good work ethic reliability and attention to detail.
Ability to work well within a team environment.
