Responsibilities
Under general direction and in alignment with ASP policies and applicable regulations:
- Immediate need would be for modelling and simulation with helps of tools like ANSYS/COMSOL
- Create detailed CFD models and drawings for the mechanical needs
- Generate novel designs that may lead to IPs
- Develop mechanical design requirements based on product/component specification
- Design for manufacturability (DFM) robustness and compliance with industry standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and deliver new features.
- Work closely with other teams involved with industrial design hardware team manufacturing and product compliance
- Collaborate with external suppliers as appropriate to ensure design feasibility and quality
- Interface with departments including Quality Service and R&D.
- Maintain proper documentation for design processes and revisions
- Communicate business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Mandatory:
- BE (Mechanical / Mechatronics) MTech (Mechanical with specialization in Automation / Mechanical Design / Medical Devices)
- Must have had hands-on work and knowledge in mechanical design and development for mini projects (as part of courses) and a strong project/internship experience for fresh graduates.
- Must have done some modelling before using MATLAB ANSYS like tools
- Must have had used mechanical tools and to prepare designs (SolidWorks etc.)
- Proficiency in C/C and working knowledge of Python or other scripting languages.
- Knowledge of modelling systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Exposure to software development
Preferrable:
- Familiarity with configuration management with software
- Prior experience in regulated environments such as medical devices.
