A well-regarded secondary school in Slough rated Good by Ofsted is seeking an enthusiastic French Teacher (ECT) to join its supportive and high-aching Modern Foreign Languages department from September 2026. The Role
The successful candidate will:
Teach French across Key Stages 3 and 4
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop language skills in speaking listening reading and writing
Inspire students to explore French language and culture
Support students of all abilities through inclusive and differentiated teaching
Prepare students for GCSE French examinations
Contribute to the development of schemes of work and departmental resources
Lead or support extracurricular activities such as language clubs cultural events or trips abroad
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
Play an active role in the pastoral life of the school including form tutoring
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a candidate who:
Holds (or is working towards) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has a degree in French or a related subject
Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for language education
Is eager to develop their teaching practice as an Early Career Teacher
Has high expectations for student achievement and behaviour
Is reflective enthusiastic and committed to ongoing professional development
Works well as part of a collaborative and supportive team
