About the Role

Were looking for an experienced E&I Planner to support maintenance and turnaround activities at a major oil refinery in Billings MT. This is a hands-on planning role where youll build detailed job plans that drive safe efficient and reliable execution of electrical and instrumentation work.

What Youll Do

Develop detailed work packages for electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities
Define labor materials tools and sequencing for efficient job execution
Perform field walk-downs to validate scope and identify constraints
Collaborate with operations maintenance and engineering teams
Support planning and execution of turnarounds and shutdowns
Ensure materials are identified ordered and staged ahead of scheduled work
Estimate labor hours job durations and costs
Maintain accurate planning data within CMMS (SAP preferred)
Ensure all plans meet safety environmental and regulatory standards

What You Bring

5 10 years of E&I experience in refining petrochemical or heavy industrial environments
Previous experience in planning scheduling or maintenance coordination
Strong knowledge of:
- Electrical systems (LV/MV)
- Instrumentation controls PLC/DCS systems
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs electrical drawings and loop diagrams
Experience with CMMS systems (SAP highly preferred)
Strong communication organization and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

Turnaround / outage planning experience
Familiarity with RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance)
Knowledge of NFPA NEC and ISA standards
