We are seeking an experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join a Skilled Nursing team on the night shift. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented compassionate nurse who can deliver high-quality resident care while supporting CNAs and collaborating with Registered Nurses. The schedule follows a rotating block.
Key Responsibilities- Assess plan and implement nursing care for residents under the supervision of an RN
- Provide continuity of care including direct patient care and medication administration
- Supervise CNAs and support staff to ensure compliance with care standards
- Maintain accurate timely documentation within the EMR system
- Respond appropriately to resident needs and report significant changes to supervising RN
- Promote a safe organized and resident-centered environment
- Cross-train and assist other nursing departments as needed
- Active California LVN license (must be in good standing)
- Minimum 1 year of Skilled Nursing (SNF) experience
- Experience with electronic medical records preferred
- Must pass facility nursing medication test
- Current BLS certification required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact tactfully and professionally with residents staff families and regulatory agencies
- Basic computer proficiency
- Shift Rotation:
- Week 1: Thursday Friday Saturday
- Week 2: Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday
- Bilingual Requirement: None
- Holiday Coverage: Not required
- State License: Must be active and current
