Team Lead – US Billing & Invoicing

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Team Lead for US Billing & Invoicing to oversee end-to-end billing operations for our US clients. The ideal candidate will have strong domain knowledge in billing processes team management experience and a keen eye for accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the US Billing & Invoicing team ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing
- Oversee end-to-end billing cycles including invoice generation validation and dispatch
- Ensure compliance with US billing standards client contracts and SLAs
- Handle escalations related to billing discrepancies disputes and client queries
- Monitor team performance productivity and quality metrics
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and identify process improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Accounts Receivable Finance and Operations
- Drive process improvements automation initiatives and efficiency enhancements
- Prepare and present MIS reports dashboards and performance insights to management
- Train mentor and develop team members
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce Finance Accounting or related field
- 4–7 years of experience in US Billing/Invoicing with at least 1–2 years in a team lead role
- Strong understanding of US billing processes contracts and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in billing systems/ERP tools (e.g. SAP Oracle NetSuite or similar)
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and reporting tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in handling large-volume transactions
- Exposure to automation tools or process improvement methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma)
- Prior experience working with US clients or in a global delivery environment
