Job Summary
Perry Local Schools is seeking a motivated and student-centered K8 Physical Education Teacher to deliver a comprehensive program that promotes physical fitness teamwork and healthy lifestyles. The ideal candidate will create a positive active learning environment that engages all students and builds confidence through ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver standards-aligned physical education instruction for grades K8 Teach fundamental motor skills fitness concepts and cooperative activities Promote sportsmanship teamwork and personal responsibility Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners Ensure a safe and structured environment for physical activity Assess student progress and provide feedback on skill development and fitness Collaborate with staff to support school-wide wellness initiatives Communicate effectively with students families and colleagues QualificationsValid Ohio teaching license in Physical Education (K12 or appropriate grade band) Knowledge of age-appropriate physical education practices and safety protocols Strong classroom management and organizational skills Commitment to student engagement and positive relationship-building Preferred QualificationsExperience teaching multiple grade levels (elementary and middle school) Familiarity with fitness assessment tools and data tracking Willingness to support extracurricular activities or coachingInterested candidates are invited to submit a cover letter resume and required certification to
