Job Summary
Position OverviewPerry Local Schools is seeking an enthusiastic and student-centered K6 Music Teacher to lead a comprehensive elementary music program. The ideal candidate will foster a love of music build foundational skills and create engaging experiences that support the whole ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver standards-aligned music instruction for grades K6 Teach fundamental music concepts including rhythm melody harmony and movement Lead vocal and performance-based experiences for students Organize and direct elementary music programs and performances Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs Create a positive inclusive and engaging classroom environment Collaborate with staff to support school-wide initiatives Communicate effectively with students families and colleagues QualificationsValid Ohio teaching license in Music (K12 or appropriate grade band) Strong knowledge of elementary music pedagogy Ability to engage and inspire young learners Commitment to collaboration and continuous improvement Preferred QualificationsExperience directing elementary performances or programs Ability to integrate movement instruments and technology into instruction Willingness to contribute to extracurricular or arts-based opportunities
