Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in E-commerce platforms to design develop and maintain scalable web applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building high-performance systems payment integrations and order management workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain Java-based E-commerce applications
- Work on end-to-end development of modules like:
- Product Catalog
- Shopping Cart
- Checkout & Payment Gateway Integration
- Order Management System
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs
- Ensure performance scalability and security of applications
- Collaborate with frontend QA and DevOps teams
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Implement microservices architecture
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide quick resolution
- Follow best practices for clean code testing and deployment
Must Haves:
- Strong experience in Java (Java 8/11/17)
- Expertise in:
- Spring Boot
- Spring MVC
- Hibernate / JPA
- Experience with E-commerce platforms or custom-built systems
- Hands-on with:
- REST APIs
- Microservices Architecture
- Database knowledge:
- MySQL / PostgreSQL / MongoDB
- Experience with:
- Payment Gateway Integration (Razorpay Stripe etc.)
- Caching (Redis)
- Messaging queues (Kafka / RabbitMQ)
- Version control: Git
- Familiarity with Docker / Kubernetes
- Knowledge of AWS / Azure is a plus
E-commerce Domain Experience (Must Have)
- Shopping cart & checkout flows
- Payment gateway integration
- Inventory & order lifecycle management
- Pricing discounts and offers engine
- High-traffic application handling
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
Good to Haves
- Experience with platforms like:
- Magento
- Shopify (backend integrations)
- Exposure to headless commerce architecture
- Experience in high-scale production systems
