Rotating Equipment Engineer Intern
Whats the role
Role Overview
The Rotating Equipment Engineer Intern will support Oil & Gas project activities related to pumps compressors turbines diesel generators and auxiliary systems. The role provides practical exposure to project engineering vendor coordination inspections and site support under the guidance of experienced engineers.
What youll be doing
Internship Program Tasks
Endtoend project lifecycle for rotating equipment tasks is as follows:
A. Engineering & Technical Support
1. Assist in preparing and updating rotating equipment datasheets equipment lists and critical equipment registers.
2. Support review of vendor documents such as:
General Arrangement (GA) drawings
Performance curves and technical datasheets
Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and Quality Plans (QAP)
3. Basic technical checks on compliance to specifications or standards.
B. Procurement & Vendor Coordination
1. Support preparation of technical requisitions and procurement documentation.
2. Track vendor document submissions using Vendor Document Registers (VDR).
3. Assist in reviewing technical queries (TQ) deviations and clarifications from vendors.
C. Quality Inspection & Testing
1. Support preparation and coordination of:
Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) procedures and checklists
Inspection readiness documentation
2. Assist in closing FAT punch items and compiling test records.
D. Construction Site & Commissioning Support
1. Assist with site engineering support activities such as:
Installation readiness checks
Equipment preservation and storage verification
Alignment and grouting documentation review
2. Support resolution of site technical queries by gathering drawings data and vendor inputs.
3. Assist in mechanical completion and commissioning for rotating equipment.
During the internship the intern will be exposed in 1-2 of the above projectbased tasks. Consolidate experiences into a technical report outlining key performance drivers and propose any digitalization improvement opportunities for future projects execution.
Prepare a final presentation for the Rotating Equipment Engineering team and stakeholders.
What you bring
Internship Requirements
Currently enrolled in Bachelors in Engineering (Any discipline)
Minimum CGPA of 3.0.
Minimum 3-month internship commitment and open to longer duration.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Good communication skills.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical data is an advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; analytics tools are beneficial.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
