To strengthen our Corporate / M&A practice in Munich we are looking for a

(Senior) Transaction Lawyer

Our Corporate / M&A teams advise leading corporates financial sponsors insurers and financial institutions on their most complex and predominantly crossborder corporate transactions. Our team brings together specialists from a broad range of disciplines.

Key focus areas of our Corporate / M&A practice

  • Crossborder acquisitions private equity investments mergers joint ventures and transactions in regulated markets
  • Corporate reorganisations and the design and optimisation of group structures
  • Advising corporate bodies on strategic decisions and on complex issues of corporate governance directors duties and compliance

Your role

As a (Senior) Transaction Lawyer you will be part of our wider Matter Optimisation Team and embedded within the Corporate / M&A practice in Munich. Your main focus will be project and transaction management within the Corporate / M&A area.

You will be involved in all phases of a transaction and will use the latest legal technology tools in your work. A key part of your role will be to coordinate and manage due diligence processes from planning and setup through to reporting. Your involvement will continue beyond the due diligence phase for example in managing signing and closing processes and implementing postclosing measures.

You will have direct contact with clients and will make a significant contribution to the smooth and successful execution of crossborder transactions. You will work closely with Corporate / M&A fee earners on a wide variety of matters and at the same time collaborate on a daytoday basis with colleagues in our other Matter Optimisation teams including Project all of these tasks you will be in regular contact with colleagues across Germany and in our international offices.

Your profile

  • You have a degree in business law such as a Bachelor of Laws Bachelor of Business Law or Master of Laws (LL.M.) or you have successfully completed a comparable course of study ideally with at least part of your studies undertaken abroad.
  • You have businessfluent German and English language skills.
  • Ideally you have already gained initial experience in M&A transactions and/or due diligence projects for example through internships traineeships or a first role.
  • You are open minded highly motivated and enjoy working on new topics and tackling complex challenges.
  • You enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams and have a genuine interest in international transactional work.
