We are looking for a hands-on Quality Engineer to take ownership of building and developing a quality management system from the ground up. This role combines strategic system development with operational quality assurance in a technical environment spanning development and production.
Key responsibilities of the role:
Introduction and development of a quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001
Creation and implementation of work instructions for technical processes in development and production
Monitoring and management of measurement and test equipment
Control and handling of non-conforming products in production
Management of customer complaints and quality issues
Planning and execution of internal audits to ensure process compliance
Application of structured problem-solving methods (e.g. 8D) to identify root causes
Initiation and tracking of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Establishment and management of quality assurance processes
Incoming goods inspection and supplier quality monitoring
Definition tracking and reporting of quality KPIs
Training employees on quality standards tools and procedures
Close collaboration with development production and purchasing to ensure product quality
Required skills and qualifications:
Initial experience in quality management and technical documentation
Knowledge of ISO 9001 or comparable quality standards
Experience with quality methods such as 8D FMEA Ishikawa or 5-Why
Strong analytical and structured way of working
Good command of German and English
Preferred skills and qualifications:
Basic knowledge of thermodynamics or experience in a technical/engineering environment
Experience with product data management (PDM) systems
Hands-on pragmatic mindset with a strong sense of ownership
Ability to work independently and drive topics forward
High level of commitment flexibility and motivation to learn
