Job Summary

We are looking for aspiring and suitably qualified individuals to join our Capital Works Business Unit (CWBU) where we work with our stakeholders to create sustainable transport solutions for the community and we care for our staff and provide a great place to work.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a multidisciplinary commercial team to deliver comprehensive pre- and post-contract administration services for new railway projects ensuring full compliance with corporate policies and governance frameworks

  • Administer NEC4 contracts across assigned projects leveraging platforms such as CEMAR for contract management and ensuring timely change reporting to management for informed decision-making

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to proactively address contractual matters ensuring resolutions are delivered efficiently and within contractual timelines

  • Oversee monthly cost verification and drive progressive final cost agreement throughout the project lifecycle ensuring financial transparency and alignment with budgetary targets

  • Evaluate and resolve contractual changes and claims related to time and cost managing disputes in accordance with NEC4 provisions to protect project integrity and minimize risk exposure

  • Provide expert advice to senior management on complex contractual risks and strategic options balancing commercial considerations with operational feasibility to support sound decision-making

  • Lead monthly performance reviews and risk/opportunity assessments for assigned projects while ensuring strong governance audit readiness and alignment with the organizations commercial procedures and project management standards

Requirement

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying / Engineering / Project Management or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 15 years relevant experience in major infrastructure projects with in-depth knowledge of and experience in contract administration risk and opportunity management and claims management of which at least 5 years in a similar position leading a sizeable portfolio of projects
  • Possession of Corporate Membership of a recognized professional institution
  • Proven experience in administering NEC3/NEC4 contracts on major infrastructure projects with added advantage for candidates familiar with BIM 5D and digital platforms such as ACC CEMAR PRISM and SYNCRO PRO
  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking complemented by excellent communication skills and a proactive results-driven mindset

Remarks

  • Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms
